The County Returning Officer has published the Statement of Persons Nominated for the election which has been called to fill the vacancy for town councillor in Newtown Llanllwchaiarn East Ward, for Newtown & Llanllwchaiarn Town Council, showing 3 nominations. - A poll will take place on 19th March 2026 at the Methodist Church, Back Lane, Newtown
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on 03/03/2026. Applications can be made online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
- Electors should take note that applications to vote by POST or requests to change or cancel an existing application must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at electoral.services@powys.gov.uk by 5.00pm on the 04/03/2026.
- Applications to vote by PROXY must reach the Electoral Registration Office by 5.00pm on the 11/03/2026.
- Applications to vote by emergency PROXY on the grounds of medical incapacity, or if your occupation, service or employment means you cannot go to a polling stations after the above deadlines must be made by 5.00 p.m. on POLLING DAY.
