Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn Town Council (NLTC) is delighted to announce the recipients of its May 2026 Community Grants Round, awarding a total of £14,566.96 to a wide range of local organisations and community groups delivering projects that will benefit residents across Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn.
The grants will support initiatives promoting health and wellbeing, community cohesion, youth development, arts and culture, environmental awareness, emergency preparedness, and support for vulnerable residents.

Supporting a Stronger Community
The funded projects reflect the diversity and strength of the local voluntary and community sector. Grants will help provide bereavement support, CPR and defibrillator training, men’s wellbeing sessions, opportunities for young people, community newsletters, counselling support, cancer wellbeing programmes, creative workshops, photography projects, music and cultural activities, food redistribution resources, and services supporting mental health and vulnerable families.
The grants scheme continues to play an important role in helping local organisations deliver valuable services and activities that improve the quality of life for residents and strengthen community connections.
